I want to throw my life-sized teddy bear away. Maybe you’ve spotted him in a webcam video or photo over the years. He’s been there this whole time, sitting in the background, a fixture in my life.

I don’t have the heart to get rid of him so he travels with me from apartment to apartment. Right now he’s wedged between the cat tree (that my cats refuse to use) and my armoire. I’ll occasionally move him around, lifting his head up or adjusting his posture, further squishing him between the two pieces of furniture. He used to sit on my bed. I would sleep with him every night.
